For you elk hunters, need some help

I am looking for a out of state elk hunt for next season, be taking my fiance, will be her first season. We will be bow hunting. Just looking for a area that is OTC or easily drawn, not looking for big bulls, want a fun hunt, get into some elk, size is not a issue. Have been leaning towards OR or CO. NM is a place I have always wanted to hunt too.Just dont know a whole lot about NM. Thanks for any advice Shane
