First time archery hunting. Have been hunting from Blind Hollow clear to Franklin Basin. Have not even seen a bull, cow or heck any fresh sign. Any advice would be greatily appreciated.

Really? I've seen over 50 elk in this area from the highway and the Tony Grove gravel pit and know of 3 elk taken in this area in the last week. Sitting water is probably going to be your best bet. 2 or 3 small herds in Bunchgrass right now. Another has been working the ridge between White Pine hollow and Steam Mill hollow most every day. The small bulls will probably start reacting to some cow calls in the next week or so, but you're also starting to face a full moon and nocturnal elk.

I can send more detailed locations, if you'd like - PM me your e-mail address. Good luck.

I know a guy that stuck a 353 bull a few weeks ago near Franklin, and they got a few spikes as well. There should be plenty of elk in there for ya.

Having the same problem as "notsolucky". Drew limited entry elk tag for cache north, been scouting five days from sink hollow/beaver mtn. area to franklin basin down to tony grove lake. Have not seen a single elk (cow or bull). I would really appreciate it if anyone had any additional info they would be willing to share with me.

Git into the bottom of Bear Hollow. They usually move into there pretty heavy right around the first part of the rut. they usually cross back and forth from there to blind but the other side really lives up to it's name. Also heard some bugling in High creek, but I'd suggest horses or lots of Ibuprofen. Tons of other places but it's kinda like pick your poison cause There is minimal roads and lots and lots of tough terrain. Send me a pm and I'll get ya some more detailed directions.

I have seen the same elk as Apollo. There are some pretty big herds. Check out those areas. My buddy has the muzzy tag so let me know any info after your hunt if you find some.
