going down to the D..word this weekend

Was down there this last weekend helping a buddy try to stick a bull. Had a 340 bull walk into us (well a 100yards) and that was the only thing we saw in 12 miles of walking and glassing. (other than a few cows) Named it the no ruttin Dutton. Hot as hell down there now. Do you guys think you'll see any ruttin activity by the time the hunt ends? Pray for a cold front i guess.

I was recruited as a Dutton Shirpa today. I'll just be there opening day.

I'm mostly going down to mark roads on my maps....you know "truck only roads" and " truck and horse trailer worthy" and "four wheeler only" and last but not least...."horse trail" I will be looking for good spots to hunt come November. I will try to get some elk on video but I'm not going to mess with any elk that I know someone is trying to connect with as far as launching an arrow at. I say there are plenty of elk on that mountain. Let's help each other out and be ethical.
