AZ 6A North elk

Anyone got any tips on this bowhunt? Saw 600 elk in one herd 3 weeks ago but assume they are broken up now. Thinking about hunting the Rattlesnake quiet area....

Great unit IMO. Headed up there tommorrow for my cow hunt.
You got caow or bull? There are a lot of elk in this area. Pretty much every place you walk to off of the road will hold elk. Rattlesnake Quiet area is a pretty good area and you wont find a whole lot of poeple that will go in there. Good luck!!

P.S. That heard you saw. Was it in Mormon lake? If so it will stay there for most of the hunt. Not very easy to get into them.

Put on a wet suit, go in at midnight and wait for daylight, ha ha ha... Went by a few weeks ago and all the elk in there were bulls. May have changed since then.

Thanks guys. I have a bull permit. Yes, that was the herd at Mormon lake. There are some that will break loose and hit the hills....maybe I can talk my buddy into playing along. May do it myself if noone else is up for it. Wouldn't be the first time I crawled a couple of hours for nothing. Used to do it with my ex all the time.
