Has any body gotten one of those huge bucks youve seen running around chasing does? I am wishing I had a late tag. There have been some big ones this year.

Hey there, i drew a tag in the owyhees and am curious to know more about the 32" 209 buck is it a typical or non do you have pics??

>I know of a 32" 209"
>buck out of the owyhees
>and a 202" buck out
>of unit 22....both monsters!

was that a typical buck from 22 i see a guy in new plymouth with a buck that is typical 4pt that is wide tall heavy very deep forks i was thinking a 190 plus and he hunts 22.....

I forgot to also tell you my friend that drew with me shot a 30" buck that scored 179 not immaculate but a respectable buck

Are there any pics fo those bucks up there. I have heard there is a 40 incher running around unit 69 and several huge bucks in 60A

I have a crappy pic of the 32"....It is more on the non-typical side....has a couple extras on each side...and lots of mass.
The typical is only about 25" wide...with mainbeams from hell...31" and 29"..again with the mass.

I hunted 40, and it was pretty good. I camped and had a few beers with Carl Marshall, he killed the 208 4/8" 32" wide buck, I scored it and it has 47 inches of mass. I have a picture of it. I ended up with a 32" 4 x 5, and by buddy ended up with a 184" 4 x 4.

I have a unit 48 late tag that closes the 24 and I have hunted my A** off and have not even seen a decent buck "I have seen 40 or so deer 3 moose and a Mt. lion but no big bucks" if any one has any info on even a good buck would you let me know.

NVMDF2,
Do you mind sending me a better pic of Carl's buck? The one I have is a field photo...but they took it from a little too far away and cant see any of the extras or any detail of the rack.
I remember my dad saying Carl had met a guy from Nevada....and then I remember talking to you...and I thought it might have been you he had talked to.
Sounds like you and your buddy got pretty good bucks too!....Any pics of them? I would really like to see them since I am in that area all the time and maybe I have some video of them or something.

I ran into a couple guys just after shooting a 32" buck in the Owyhees also. It kinda looks like the buck on the home page but has stickers. Including the cheaters and stickers it's a 9x7.

Sounds like a hog! I would like to see that pic also. I dont know if the guy wants you posting it on here so send me an email if he doesnt.
Thanks

Almost forgot! My friend just stopped by. He got lucky and drew on the late 45 deer hunt. He hunted 8 days and saw tons of deer. He passed up several bigguns and ended up taking a unique 28" 3x8. He was jacked and was very happy with the trophy quality bucks they were seeing. I will post a pic as soon as he gives me permission.

Spaced out taking a picture. I don't think the 32 incher I saw was over 200". This one kinda had crabby forks, stickers weren't very long and deducting the 3" cheaters it was a 26" buck. Had some mass going all the way to the tips though. I measured the width for the hunter then measured a base real quick at around 6 3/4" under 7". It was thicker in areas above the base. I too would like to see a pic.

The story is kinda funny. He said he was glassing and thought he was in the wrong spot. Got up to move and heard something, turned around and saw this buck 25 yards away. His scope was still on 9 power and all he could see was fur and shot.

Season ends tomorrow. Going to give it one last looksee for a quick morning hunt. I'll be a hungry fella after a little hike in the hills.

Sounds like the same buck and the same story I have heard....only has one crabby fork on the side with a big back end...gross score was around 209".
Good luck tomorrow sage_mule! knock down a big one for the wall!
