LAST EDITED ON Nov-20-05 AT 10:29PM (MST)[p]So.... As alot you know.. Moosie and IdahoBugler ended up driving thru Utah on there way to New Mexico on a hunt. I was able to Tag along for a few days. Long winded post, so here it goes.....

Last friday was full of scouting. Bryce (IdahoBugler) and I were spotting alot of deer. We tried to show Moosie some of these deer but he just called us liars and went back to playing with his nipples

Moosie made the comment that this buck would die if nothing bigger was found... FIGURES
for those of you who don't know.. He has killed more two points than ANYONE I know.

So saturday morning (season opener) I awoke to the sound of the Alarm clock going off and going off, and going off. I finally got up and turned it off myself. I had to cross the entire length of the tent and reach over Idahobugler to turn off his alarm clock. WTF!?!?!?

After I turned on the lantern and started the stove for warmth.. moosie and Idahobugler finally rise out of bed.

We rode MTbikes for about 6 miles into the back country. We split up from IdahoBugler as he took a wrong turn and ended up back at camp I guess ?!?!
Moosie and I started glassing as it got light. Moosie started out glassing very hard..
DSC_3476.jpg

that turned into a bit less of an effort as he started yelling "The Bucks Are Coming"
DSC_3468.jpg

after I yelled at him many, many times, he went back to glassing.
DSC_3481.jpg

five minutes later, I turn around and see this.....
DSC_3486.jpg

I glassed a few bucks and showed them to Moosie, He was begging for the key to his trigger lock that IdahoBugler and I had installed on his gun. No such luck for him. We watched these bucks feed into the tree's
IMG_0851.jpg

So the rest of the day was spent listening to moosie ball about his trigger lock as we passed on several more decent bucks.

We all met back up at camp. IdahoBugler was a little pissed that we left him in the dust on the opener. I guess he saw two does that day. After Moosie and I fed him full of crap about how we hadnt seen anything, he decided everything was ok and went back to being the camp Beotch :)
DSC_3515.jpg

Sunday was more of the same. This time we hiked about 5 miles into the back country and away from where we had seen all of the deer. A great plan that IdahoBugler had come up with somtime during the night.

we arrived back at camp at dark. We didnt see crap in this "awesome" spot that IdahoBugler had suggested (he basically cried when we initially said no)

Spirits were high back at camp as IdahoBugler told the story of how when he left moosie and I during our hike, he had made a pit stop and missed killing a 30 inch buck because he was several inches from his gun, whenhe finally got to his gun, the deer was gone
DSC_3516.jpg

Moosie talked about how his life as a porn star didnt really turn out
DSC_3526.jpg

Day 3, more of the same however, IdahoBugler decided he wanted to try the oposite side of the canyon we were hunting. About mid day, He spotting this Monster and made a clean shot at 300 yards.. Way to go man! You have enough meat for several years.. I hope you donate some of that....

LAST EDITED ON Nov-20-05 AT 10:39PM (MST)[p]That is one of the fattest deer I have ever seen hit the ground, but it has to be one of those Cactus Bucks with the shriveled up nuts!! :)

All joking aside, sounds like a heck of a hunt and a good time as well. I hear there were a few decent bucks to actually hit the ground as well.

If you talk to Moosie, tell him sorry I missed the autograph session, I had to watch some paint dry! :)

I do have one question about the first picture, I thought Moosie said he'd been working out???

SCOTT

Now that was most amusing hunting story I have ever read LOL
With a cape that ugly the buck must have been really old!

As you can see in some of the pictures, We found a few sheds... here is moosie's set, the size does reflect the man... or atleast im told by IB.

We are sickend by the stories of Mossie being locked on Idaho's Bugggggglllllliiiierrr. While sitting, quite comfortably on Brows tine. Lets see some pic's.

"I thought Moosie said he'd been working out???"

HAHAH... No,,, not by Far this year. New Baby, New Business, (Lot's of pop and Choco shakes...... ;) ) I actualy weigh 25# more then when I went on my Sheep hunt last year. I wouldgo toe to toe with anyone in the hills though, although the 6 point bull I packed out yesterday for 6 miles almost made me tiered.... :) It's not "FAT"... It's SuccessBEotch :)

Here are a couple of the bucks we passed. These are from the video camera so the pictures suck but atleast show some of what we saw.

This buck was a 5X4 longed tined, heavy horned buck but only 18" wide. We tried for him the last day but never showed his self again.

Another opening day buck.
IMGA0170.jpg

Even though the picture doesn't show it very well, this was probably one of the better deer we saw. He was very tall but had no eye-gaurds. He was pushing the 180 mark. When he ran off I really thought I screwed up. But isn't that how it always goes.

LOL looks like you guys had a good time!!! so did anybody ever shoot any thing?

RE: Great White .....Pillsbury dough boy

That is what it's all about having a great time you guys sure do have fun. Life is great.

Let's start over from where Mr. Tine started this lie. Where to start........ First off the alarm clock was in my sleeping bag. I thought you said you where cold and that's why you came in to get warm. Now you tell everyone you were going for the alarm clock, huh?!?! And to set the record straight we would of been late every freakin morning if I left it up to these yahoos to get up and get the tent warm. How can you sleep and then blast out of bed in 1 minute to go hunting without any oatmeal or food for that matter. Pop in the morning doesn't cut it for me.

And don't get me started about opening day. We all set out at the same time. Actually Mr. Tine and Moosie start out first. We fly by them thinking no one is that slow after all it's just a messly 4 miles on a bike... Boy was I wrong. Wade (A pretty cool dude that showed us around) and I wait at the first fork for 5 minutes. Wade's getting ansy as there are a couple of guys ahead of us. I'm think Moosie and Mr. Tine should know to go north as this is where everything is coming from. So we go ahead of them and we fly past the other guys walking the road. We get to our area and the two yahoos are still not there. Now I'm thinking maybe these guys just wanted some alone time so we hunt seperatly for the rest of the day. That day Wade and I saw a good 180 buck that I passed because he didn't have eye-guards. I thought I screwed up when he bounded off as he looked much better. O'well first day we should see plenty of those bucks. As luck would have it or not have it that was the best buck I saw the whole trip. Just before dark we spotted a good 170 buck racking his antlers. He was a sweet 5X4 with dark heavy antlers but only 18" wide. We later saw this buck just before Moosie shot his. He went into the trees and never came out. I wish we could of taken him as he was a pretty cool looking deer. Saw a couple smaller 4 points as we were walking out. All in all a pretty sweet opener.

We go back to camp and these guys have dinner ready for us. That's right you beatches go in the kitchen and make me some pie!!! Then they start crying about how we left them and how they saw so many deer??? Or Mr. Tine saw so many deer, what ever?? Again I'm sorry I don't have a slower gear on my bike......

Here is my last evening of the hunt buck. We had a good time and passed up a lot better bucks then the one's we got. But I'm happy with the hunt and had a good time with these guys. Hopefully the tag gods are kind to us again down the road. Good luck to all who are still hunting.

You guys are nuts!

Wish I would have knew who you were when you stopped by camp.

Anyway great story Brandon.

Nice deer guys.

If ya'll do NM next year contact me maybe share a beer next time!

LOL.. And that was a Slow camp/hunt trip, You should see us when we stop in Vegas for a "hunting" trip :) :)

30"buck, You caught us after several days of lack of sleep, many a Miles on the boots and before dinner....... the latter being the biggest for me :) We were just happy to stand next to a fire and hold a 200" bone in our hands. Don't know if we'll ever put in for that tag again but if we ever draw something around your Area I'll drop another "MOOSIE hits the Road" post and we'll hook up.

It's funny for all the Guys that claim to be "ANTI" Moosie I sure have a Long a$s list of guys that want to hunt with me... And I never kill anything big. Now that's LOVE :)

B_F_E, I saw you up in the food court at Cabella's taking pictures of us to scared to come over and say hi. I didn't realize it was you at first. I thought it was an undercover security guy dressed up in a Blouse but upon getting back and looking at hunting Pictures I realize it was you in Drag again. That X-dresser next to you must have been Seth ?
