Okay if you knew where a 420 plus bull was would you contact the governors tag, or would you hold out and help your buddy try and get it during a muzzleloader hunt? What if the bull gets shot during the rifle hunt anyway and you cant put your friend on it because it could be dead.
Just a thought, what would you do?
Thanks,

Contact Mooseknuckles and get my 10 G's. That's what I'd do and then buy a tag for next year!!!!

Always help a friend. Money can be made any time for a man willing to work. You will get much more satisfaction out of helping your friend kill the bull. Hopefully no one gets him before your friend does. Good Luck.

well
Theres alot of what ifs in life
what if the Posse wants to see the Bull before they give you the 10k and upon looking at the bull they say, well I ain't payin you because they claim its only a little old 419 Bull?
Think I woulda kept my mouth shut, somebody knows you & chances are theres already been tracking gear put on your rig
you could flip a coin I guess?
Heads try & help your buddy get the Bull,Tails Sell that Bulls Soul to the Posse.

All I can say that it is a good thing I am guiding for the rifle on Sat. to help a friend on a bull that size, but for your sake hopefully not the same one. The only problem for me is Moss is watching the same bull so I have to beat him in there. Same goes for you help your buddy don't help Moss.

Would you rather get a few grand from the guy (that would probably be spent fairly quick) that decided to purchase a Tag of a Lifetime and you will maybe get an honorable mention as his story gets published.....

or......

Would you rather BE A PART OF THE STORY and included on a hunt that your buddy would be braggin about for the rest of his life and passing down from generation to gerneration??

To me, the latter would be worth allot more than a few bucks. Hunting is as much about Re-Living the experiences as it is getting the animal....Help your bud out and you will never have regret the smile you see on his face or the Back Straps he serves you for dinner!

?-ERock-> ?

sell the bull 10 grand for the kids college fund beats anything else.
Then find your buddy a 380 bull and he still will be happy as a pig in mud.

First thing you could do is post up some pic's of this 420 bull... That would help me decide. :)

I'd prolly help my friend but 10K is a LOT of $$$$

I have been on both sides of this issue.....

HELP YOUR FRIEND!!!!!!! Money is RUINING This sport!!! And I know from experience...you will not always get that $$$ for a finders fee that you think you will....HELP YOUR FRIEND...do NOT sell out!! Or help another local hunter on that unit?

there are quite a few people in the area ur 420-430 bull is hanging. i was there a few days ago and there were lots of people running around those parts. gotta love the ghost bulls. :)

meant to quote this.

Help your buddy get the bull. That memory will last a lot longer than 10k.

Help your buddy, then make him work a part time job till he pays ya back. LOL

Friends should come first!!!!!!!!!!!

What would you want your buddy to do if the roles were reversed??? Answer that and you have your answer :)[font size="22"]

The best advice is to "do unto others"

In other words, what would you do if it was YOU that had the tag. That is what you should do for your friend.

venor, ergo sum (I hunt, therefore I am)

Well I think I will sit on the bull until my friend can harvest it during muzzleloader, someone thinks they might be hunting the same bull, good luck too you, could be same bull, might not, if it is same bull, my guess is you have lost his location and are searching hard to relocate the bull, I will keep watching him and hope no one else locates the bull.
I might sell out if the price was 20k..LOL..or I would forsure sell out for 30k...and for 40k I will let you post a story in a magazine and I will tell what ever story you want to tell...

Maybe we are maybe were are not, but I seen Him on Monday Evening so I do have him located keep in touch If you get him or I will if we get him share pics good luck.

I'd rather see the thing struck by lightning than sold to the highest bidder.

Hey Jesse,

I'll keep that in mind when you finally draw a tag .

I would wait for your friend to have a chance. When my father drew out on his elk hunt we had been watching a bull all summer. One of our "friends" saw us up there watching it and we showed it to him on the rifle hunt he had some guy pay him and they went up there and shot it on the rifle hunt. It sucks to be sold out by a friend.

I think in all honesty if you're watching a bull that big and ANYONE else knows where he is besides you he ain't gonna make it to the muzzleloader hunt. Somebody'll spill the beans and then somebody else will spill that bull's blood.

But if you've got him and nobody else does...help your buddy out. Those $10K "finder's fees" don't always work out like advertised. ;)

I would tell the buddy so i could watch it get tipped over and let a blue collar guy get a chance at bull like that seeing he probaly waited close to ten years and becouse i wouldnt sell my 340 bull or the experience for ten grand but then again you only can hunt elk in nevada maybe twice in your life

My advice changes depending on what unit he is on. Help your buddy unless he is on my unit and then my advice is make me your buddy and show me where he is at.
