Anyone heard about any bucks killed in the alkali yet? The hunt started on the 19th. Just curious if any big bucks have been seen. We'll be heading there for the archery hunt on the 11th of december. Well if we don't kill something this weekend up around Loomis.

My friend just got back with a nice Buck tonite, and his friend also got a nice one on sunday.Hard hunting with all this Fog.

I hunted in the northern part of the post Saturday and Sunday. The fog covered the top 2/3 of the hills and I couldn't see more than a 100 feet in any direction. I walked all day Saturday and saw one doe and one fawn. Sunday was very much the same. I saw a group of guys with a decent buck, thick bases with four inch forks off main beam, and one guy told me to try the south end of the post. I went there Sunday afternoon, but as you guessed it, the fog covered the hills. I'm going out the last four days of this week and I hope a mature buck is there for me. The Saddle Mountains look like great mule deer country, but I think I'll try the southern part Thanksgiving day.
Sunday morning I passed on some coyotes hoping for good karma. I've got my lucky rock. I'm carrying a new knife, maybe I should put the old one back on. I need some old fashioned hunting luck my way.

I have 3 pals hunting out there now......I give a report when I get it. They too had trouble with fog early but have back.

Come on boys. Throw me a bone. Any news from the range. I got a week and a half to go. Hopefully you saved me one.

The fog has lifted out there so that will be a big help, rifle hunters had it hard with fog everyday. a buddy of mine shot a 20 inch 4pt. Havnet heard of any hogs coming off there.

Well my buddy son got a 18 inch 4x4 for his first buck and he got a real nice buck on last saturday, it is a 4x2 with a few stickers on the 2 side. Kinda cool. no pics yet but I will see what I can do....
