late season Kaibab

Anyone have good luck on 12 A west for the late hunt. I pasted on a couple of bucks one over 30". And ended up killing a 3X4 in the 160's.

My buddy Tony had a 12aw late tag,we saw a couple brutes that maybe he should have shot.One 31 inch 4x4 a little weak on the left front but still in the high 180's.One buck I glassed up had two extras on both sides,it was early and I just knew I could find him again--yea right!Tony had a super tall 4x4 about 26 wide high 170's opening morning 40 yards in front of us,both g2's 18 inches what a buck but let him walk.Day 5 a super heavy 5x5 with 8 inch eyeguards comes out of the thick p&j and Tony tells me he will not let this one pass.He was still kicking himself for passing on the 31 inch 4x4.He piles him up at 80 yards,we take a few pics and gut him.Take him up to the check station a dark and the warden says he is the best he has checked in two days.He takes tony's pic with his buck for the brag wall at the station.We go to camp skin and cape him out and it is miller time!Great hunt with a great bud and got a super buck.see ya Mav
