We have a skinning post that all the deer and elk get skinned at but everytime we go to skin somthing we get 10's of thousands of fly's... is there somthing we can put out to keep the flys away or is it just how it will be ????
Yes I did go buy some stuff from IFA that was a a small blue rock salt looking bait that kills flys and it worked great but costs $30 and lasts about 2 days but the flys keep comming..

Are you talking about at your shop? I would say do it indoors?? I usually finish the caping in my garage or take it to my Taxi's place. Other than that I don't know. Fly's and Bees seem to swarm from miles away to a kill!!

No its outdoors we will skin about 8 bulls a week and a couple deer a week and the fly's are driving me crazy. Once we get them skinned we have a big fridge that we put them in, that takes care of the meat but there is not enough room in the fridge to skin a elk or deer just to hang the meat...

Maybe a some form of Netting around a framed out Structure?? Sorry, I really have no idea. 8 bulls a week, you guys must really be laying them down!!

Try a couple of shop fans blowing on you as you work on the animal. That might keep them off of you. John
