Governor's Tag??

Still hoping to see the Governor's Tag buck. Any floating out there to see. I hear it was a nice deer. Just haven't seen any pics yet. Maybe I missed the post already.

I met the guide that is guiding the governors tag holder here in washington, they told me the same guy got the Washington tag, the Utah tag and the Arizona tag. They said he shot a 237 non typical in Arizona, a 217 non typical in Utah and would not take anything less then a 195 here in Washington. They were still hunting when we left the entiat the 7th of December. The guy owns Quaker Oat Meal Company.

Quaker Oats is owned by Pepsi. I have hunted with a man that was high up in the company with QO and it was actually sold while he was hunting with me in CO a number of years ago. I know that this guy has bought some great tags the past few years, could be same guy.

Hey Drum, did Dan F get his CO buck yet? I bet he is crapping bricks knowing that their is another HUGE non typical running around in the same area whwew he whacked last years buck!

Utah's statewide tag killed a buck last month that scored 244. It is an absolute pig. Congrats to the hunter, the guide and the good that the money did for Utah's wildlife.

There is a very good chance they will be posted on the guides site before very long at all.. I saw the pictures and its a very nice buck. The first H measurement is pretty unreal.

The guy with the WA auction permit is the retired pres of QO. He has taken some whopper mule deer, elk and sheep.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-21-05 AT 10:31PM (MST)[p]The WA tag was filled this week (Dec. 20) in the Entiat. It was a 6x6 (5x5 with eyeguards) and scores about 195. I think there is a plan to post the photo.
