Dead Bull

Saw a dead bull on the Thanksgiving Point/Cabelas exit this morning... Looked like he was hit by a car (poor fella that hit him is probably feeling it this morning). It was just a little guy, but not something I expected to see, especially since I get off that exit to come to work everyday. Looks like Coonies is picking it up as a write this.

I guess what I am wondering is why that bull is so low this early in the year? I know I have seen elk wintering up by IM Flash and such... but that always seems December through February-ish. Anybody have any thoughts on that?

I live right near that exit, and it seems there are always a couple elk hit there every year this early. last year there were a few cows in the field next to the block plant for a few days in the summer.

Elk live, rut, and summer on Micron.

Watch out for the Lehi or Highland Elk. The one my son hit had NO insurance. Maybe the ones from Alpine are better insured.
