My dad and I have 1 preference point for WY, we just bought a point this year. We want to bow hunt Wyoming for elk and I'm pretty familiar with how it all works, been doing a lot of research. I don't want to wait a real long time to get a tag but we're looking for a good hunt too. I was looking at unit 39 type 9 cause the odds aren't bad to get it and the success rate looks good. We don't want to go with a guide so that rules out a lot of places.
Would we find as good or better hunting just getting a General tag as opposed to some of the easier to draw type 9 tags?
