You guys ever dream of muleys?

Okay, I was thinking about the past couple seasons and I've noticed that for the last 3 consecutive years, I've had a dream about the middle of deer season in which I kill a big buck. Of course I haven't shot a deer in either of these 3 seasons, but I was just curious to know if any of you have ever really dreamed of shooting a big buck?

Get the same dream every year, usually right before the season. If you have had a shot at a truly huge muley during the season, it sometimes seems like it wasn't even real, too hard to believe that you ever saw anything so huge and you dream about it. That's part of what keeps me going back year after year.

I dream of muleys nightly....I swear...I think it may be an unhealthy obsession, that will only be cured when I finally kill me a "trophy caliber" buck.....then again, that might just make things worse!!

You know it's bad when your worst nightmares are hunting related too. I've woke up in sheer terror because of my hunting dreams that went BAD! You know the ones. You finally find that Giant and he doesn't have a clue you are there. You get ready and pull the trigger and click, you have a dud. You jack in another on and click. Again and again until you have no more shells left and you are fantically searching your pockets and your pack for more. The buck slowly wanders off and you wake up.

Have the big hunt dreams all the time, might be big muleys, giant bulls or the wiley whitey, sometimes wake up in the middle of the night in the thick of the hunt, heart racing & soaking wet from sweat and sometimes just wakeup in the morning thinkin wow, that was an awesome hunt!

Good to know that I'm not the only one who has this affliction! Was beggining to think that something was wrong with me!

I have two re-occurring dreams. Both about big bucks. The locations seem to be the only thing that changes. I'm mostly bow hunting, and the arrow will never stay on the rest. And I always end up rushing the shot and miss the deer. Nightmare for sure! The other is I will actually harvest the big nasty buck, but when I get to him it's turned into a human! Talk about a let down! But the weird part is, I always try to field dress it...Yeah, I know! You ought to see it from my perspective!

How about when your huntin' that big azz Muley and for whatever reason you can't quite get on him.....and as you see your oppurtunity you wake up! That's what chaps me....try to go back to sleep but just ain't the same. Dream about Huntin' all the time!

I "day dream" everyday about big bucks and big bulls my desk here at work has pictures of big bucks on it. People think I'm nuts. Just about every break and everyday at lunch I'm on this site. People walk by and I hear them make comments all the time about what a hunting freak I am....I love it!

I am glad I am not alone in this. I also have the same dream and it starts about july every year. I have a bead on a monster trashed out pig, but my trigger wont work. Its like its welded in place and wont fire. The buck hi-tails it out of the country and I am stuck there inventing new cuss words.
Even though it's a nightmare in my opinion, because these dreams start in July, I look forward to them because it means hunting season is right around the corner. 1shot.

I mostly dream about a big 4 point buck that I almost always harvest, but never get to hold the sucker up close in my hands. I always wake up right before I get to him! It'll be so sweet when I get that chance in reality though so it's all the better!

There is also a "big one that got away" post in the "campfire" section that I posted this one so I'll keep it short here. Mine is always a past actual hunt, two hunts in particular that took place the some week; the first one an absolutely enormous, I'd say 350lb 5 point muley with more mass than I've ever seen charges down hill at me (so I thought) trying to get to the trees behind me -true story, leaving me no time to get the scope up. The other was two days earlier when I shot at and missed a 30" muley in some of the most rugged and dangerous country I've hunted, with shale and 200'-300' shear drops on some sides. Both were huge deer and I just remember the sound of their stotting compared to the smaller does that were with them, just a heavy thud.
