OR buck (pic)

I am new to the site and have been enjoying all of your pics. Love to see those photos!! Anyway, to be fair, I though I should post a pic too.

This is my 2005 Oregon buck taken on an unfortunately time-short hunt (those dang jobs..........). Crawled through about 800 yards of mud to get close enough for the shot. Still my best buck to date though---Just under 30" wide and 20" tall. Just didn't have the forks. I passed up a buck the first day that was a little wider, but only a 3x3 also. Probably the only buck over 30" I will ever pass in my life.

But as always--had a great time with my favorite hunting partner, my Dad.

It was raffle. Had 2 solid weeks planned. Turned into 3 days between moving, new position at work, and other commitments. Weather was terrible. Couldn't even get up into the area we planned on hunting.

Juniper unit. Was lucky enough to have a rancher let me on since we could not access the higher country. I believe the unit is mostly private.

Actually the juniper unit is almost all public. I live in the juniper unit and the deer hunting has been terrible there for several years now. But in november some good bucks always appear. Congrats! Which ranch let you hunt, I know all of them in that area.
