I was told the other day that the Governors Tag for utah mule deer was harvested, I was wondering if anyone Knows anything about the deer and if they could maybe post some pics. The only thing i Know about it is that it was killed in a feild out in enterprise and it is 38" wide and has lots of extras.

no, it was killed on the henries. he was 38" wide, and i forget what he scores 220 something i believe.

Do you know where a guy could see some pics of this beast. Do you know who guided the guy on the deer?

The GOV tag was taken off the Henries. There is a picture posted in the members forum of mossbackfever.com. It definately was not outside of Enterprise. You can tell that from the picture if you are familiar with the area. I know of very few "big" bucks taken in that area over the years and hardly any over 200 inches. The hunting pressure there doesn't seem to allow bucks to mature. There are too many people shooting them when they are small two or three year bucks.

That Statement isn't totally true. I hunt the enterprise area and know it pretty well. I agree that it is over hunted. But all the bucks out there are'nt just 2 or 3 year olds i have seen my far share of mature bucks out there, and that to me is a 5 to 6 year old deer. The reason i thought that the governors tag was killed in enterprise is because there is a buck that frequents a feild out their that is dang near close to 38" and has massive bases. But i am gald to finally see the deer and man is it a monster i"m glad the henries have the monsters like that.

who kills a 240" buck and takes a picture where they shot it? rumor has it around here at all the sporting good stores that he was killed in enterprise.

I can guarentee you it was killed on the Henry MTN. Gross score of 244. The hunter was Dr. David Meyers and the Guide was Tory Brock.
