LAST EDITED ON Oct-08-09 AT 07:46AM (MST)[p]Here are a few pics of the bulls we took off the Wasatch this year. We had some good luck and some happy hunters.
This Bull was killed by Hal opening morning at 7:30 scored 374 with 67 inches of mass. 13 yrs to draw and 1 hour to be done.

Reed got this bull a few days in the hunt and made some great shooting on a great bull. Bull had incredible length and is a stud. This giant scored 391

Incredible bunch of bulls!!!

Were those on public land or some of the private ground up there? Looking for options for next year with my 15 points :)

Cheers,
Pete

Congrats to all of the hunters, some great looking bulls for sure. Thanks for posting the pictures too.

Brian

They were all off of public land. I think all that June rain helped some horn growth this year.

I didn't know you could measure the 6th point and then measure it again on the main beam lenth. So that's how you did it. Ignorance is bliss.....I guess.

They look close enough for me

why be a hatter DT you eat tag soupee

thanks for posting the photos!

Archery is a year round commitment!!

I didn't think we would go without criticism for posting scores. But if you want to come teach an official scorer how to do their job come on up and show us how. Thanks for your concern on the scores, I guess they are a lot more important than how impressive the bulls really are? FYI measurements on the big 6x6 G1-20, G2-19, G3-17, G4-19.5, G5-8 54 main, 34 mass other side G1-20, G2-18, G3-16, G4-20, G5-14 55 main, 34 mass and inside spread 43

Don't worry about what someone else says about a picture. You know what they score. Don't sweat it. Nice bulls too. Congrats to the hunters.

Oh yeah and the 364 bull, here are his measurements 55.5 main, 17.5, 19, 17.5, 18, 11, and 27.5 mass other side 52.5 main, 17, 17, 15, 16, 13 and 27 mass plus an inside of 41. For your sake these are green scores and gross not net (as has been stated before on this site and else where nets are for fish)

Joe,
I have some BYU football tickets for you if you take me out in the hills one of these days :)

Hey Joe will you share the football tickets if i can get DT to come and help us take the tags out of the ears of these bulls?

LAST EDITED ON Oct-13-09 AT 10:08PM (MST)[p]Get back to something you know DT, doesn't someone need a furnace changeout?

LAST EDITED ON Oct-13-09 AT 10:13PM (MST)[p]The man is just angry because he couldn't find what he was looking for on the Wasatch, many days scouting, the Elk just beat him. Thats all.

What it all boils down to is that I suck at hunting. I am jealous of other's victories when I can't get my own.

No Worries. Your welcome to come to the other side and cheer for the team down south any time.

Forget about DT'S jeleosey issues and lets get back to what the post is about. I dont care what those bulls score they are all magnificent animals and I think most guys would be proud as heck to tag any of those bulls. Congrats to you guys beutiful bulls. Is it possible to have a post on here that does not turn in to controversy?

What is your problem? The guy posts some awesome photos and you've done nothing but down talk them, even when it's proved YOUR WRONG!

You're a PUNK!

Congrats to all the hunters on some huge bulls!!

I've got to give credit where credit is due. I was only part of the success, Strawberry Bay Outfitters out of the Marina spent most the time scouting, looking, at providing a great hunt for their clients, I only had to worry about finding the right elk. Tell you what the hunting on the Wasatch was incredible this year. Bulls seemed to be everywhere (I do wish they would push all of the hunts back though its too stinking hot to start hunting in August). The hard part was going after the right one and passing on others. Paul made Reed pass on many bulls. Reed started getting a little nervous from seeing others get there elk. It paid off and he killed one of the best I think in the state, correct me if I am wrong. Can't wait for next year!!!! I get to start putting in again maybe by the time I am 99 I might draw.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-15-09 AT 07:16PM (MST)[p]Thanks Joe for posting the pictures, not a very good one of me but the bull looks good. If any one doughts the big 6x6 it will be mounted and put at the marina at the berry. This was the greatest hunt of my life thanks to all the guys at Strawberry Outfitters. I was a little worried being the 6th day of the hunt and everyone had their bulls but me and one other hunter, the wait and passing on other bulls was worth it. Thanks to all.

Uncletick, my problem is that I'm looking for new topics of controversy with 2buckridge. If you notice, I never post anything unless I know the people involved. No doubt they're nice bulls, but a BYU fan, come on.

Go Cougars!! Lets hope they can pull it together and take down the mighty horned frogs.

Yeah...should be a crazy atmosphere in Provo with ESPN College Gameday in town. Offer still stands. No joking!!! haha

Adam, you better stick to sports you know, like basketball. Oh wait, I forgot about the last time we played.

I think your a stinken Ute Fan and I don't ever want to see you play ball again. Why don't you go chase some freakin billy goats and get lost :) . As for Cabo, Give me a call if ya got any extra.

No, I will admit the cougs need some help. Maybe some coaches that might stop blaming their players for lack of execution and accept they are getting out coached. I don't want to talk about them anymore, Hunting is better anyways. FYI the red team didn't look to great either I think BYU should take Utah's coaching that would be cool.

Hey Whipknot. How was the west side of the stadium? Was it as ugly on that side? I think we could still get you a tag for next week over in CO. or when I get back lets go shoots some pheasants.

The west side of the stadium SUCKED! 4th and 2 at midfield down three scores... let's punt! 17 seconds left in the first half, let's kneel on the ball. Unga up the middle, Unga up the middle. That was the MOST embarrasing game EVER! I was ashamed!

Thanks for thinking of me on the elk hunt... any other year and I would be in. However, after scouting and hunting the Pauns for deer, I'm not sure my marriage could handle another hunt right now. I am DEFINITELY up for a chicken chase when you get back. Call me with reports from the hill!

Don
