AZ Muley Rut

I know theres been a few postings already on the lack of rutting activity in AZ, but I'm curious to see if anybody has seen anything change w/in the past couple of days?? Aside from the heat records were setting. Thanks, any info would help especially for the area south of Payson.

Was out yesterday (not in your area) but did see some small bucks with the does. Smelling them and chasing them. The does were uninterested though.

I got a 3x3 33" wide this muzzle loader season and he was was rutting pretty hard.My brother shot a 204 4x4 and he was with about 8 does.I have been seeing lone bucks and buck's together with other buck's.I was chasing a 5x7 for several days and I kept finding him with the same does in the same little draw for about two weeks this muzzle loader season.On the last day of season when I went back he was gone and the 3x3 I shot was with the does.The 3x3 that I shot was torn up pretty bad from fighting.So it appears to me it's kind of hit and miss

Congrats on your deer and thanks for the info. I'm going up this week so I'm hoping for a drop in the weather to really swing things into action!
