My friends have been trying to kill this bull for 5 years now. Each year he shows up in the summer, drinks at the same water hole, poses for the trail cam, then goes MIA ( missing in action) two or three days before the archery hunt opens.
This year he followed the same routine only this year he was much bigger than previous years and his "spike" side or "blob" side had 5 protusions instead of 1 as in years past. We hunted him the entire archery hunt and he was spotted only one time. Well, the opening of the General Rifle hunt came and he made a mistake and my pal finally got his shot. He hit him twice but the bull headed for a thick canyon and they lost his trail. They searched for three days with no luck. We all headed back up this past weekend and searched the area again with more bodies, noses and eyes. We finaly found him in the bottom the canyon. He is a unique bull as the pics show. 50" main beam one one side and the "Blob" on the other. No branch above the ear which in Utah makes him legal on a "SPIKE" tag.
Here he is in July at the water hole.
Here he is after we found him tody 10/11/09
