Utah preference points Question

Ok, If I have point listed as "buck deer" can I use thaem for premium entry areas?

Preference Point for premium unit NO

Bonus Point for Premium unit Yes...

No, PleaseDear explained it right. Pref points are for general units, Bonus Points are for Lt Entry units.

points are for Buck Deer and GEN Buck Deer can not combine them or mix and match and you should never have more than 1 gen buck deer pt unless your bobcatbess....

Sure you can, I have 2 going into this years draw (I put in for central) and I'm sure there are people with 3+. You get a point for every year in which you apply but fail to get a tag. Failing to get a general tag can be from 2 reasons, you failed to draw one or you drew Lt Entry, which also gives you a Pref point.

I could see someone really unlucky failing to draw southern a couple years in a row then drawing Ltd Entry Deer somehere giving them an additional Pref point for the following year. I failed to draw Central deer in 2004 which gave me a pt, and drew Bookcliffs in 2005 which used up my bonus points but gave me another Pref point.

Heres how it looks, not looking to draw a limited area with the little points I have but just want to make sure that I'm not applying for the general and not limited. The reason it concerns me is that it doesnt say "premium" bonus points.

What do you guys think?

Lt Entry comes in two types, Normal (ie: vernon, Bookcliffs) and Premium (ie: Pauns, Henrys). Bonus points work for applying for either type of Lt Entry.

For the General Deer Season, Preference Points are used.

What you show above is 2 Bonus points for Ltd Entry deer, 2 bonus points for Ltd Entry Mt Goats and nothing for General Deer.

I STAND CORRECTED!!
I said that you should only have 1(one) GEN BUCK POINT UNLESS YOUR BOBCATBESS.....AND I should say unless your BOBCATBESS OR DallenC....

So roughly over 1,000 people entering this years General Season draw with 2+ pref pts.

Correction, 1,001 if we add bessy back in.

Check out this link. There are three people with 6 peferance points for deer. And quite a few with 2-5 preferance points.
