This is the bull I took on the Valles Caldera. Thanks to all the MMers who shared their experience.

It was in unit 7 for those of you who know the property.

We were on 5 to 15 six point bulls every morning.

Looks like great elk country, I love the dark antlers and white tips on that bull. Thanks for posting.

Awesome bull. I'd love to hunt that country. Probably for selfish reasons, but God gets all the glory. Great photos.

This five point was one we passed on the first morning. He had a lot of mass and some nice character. His teeth were more worn down than any elk I've seen.

This is a 5x6 a hunter took on Sunday.

That's a great looking bull! Congratulations! I was lucky enough to draw the first archery hunt in there this year. My buddy and I were able to get in front of a herd bull with his cows early in the morning on the first day. He set up 80 yards behind me and called the bull away from his cows. I arrowed him at 32 yards, double lunged him, he only ran about 50 yards and tipped over. What a rush. They scored him at 341 P&Y. I love that country and I just wanted to tell you congrats! There is a picture of the bull I killed posted in the New Mexico Forum under 341 P&Y. I'm not smart enough to figure out how to post the photo here!
