Just wondering if anyone knows about the hunting pressure in and around Monida, Montana. Going up there this weekend after elk and was wondering about the number of hunters. I was planning on going up near Livingston on a BMA, but found out today that it is full until the middle of the week. Any information would be appreciated.

I usually hunt that area or close to it on the last 2 weekends of the season.
Last year was a $hit show, lots of pressure. But most of it is road hunters, there are places where you can get away. BUt i havent been too far up the road either, that being up to 15 miles up the 509. There might be less pressure further. And like i said, this is the last 2 WEEKENDS of the season. theres some elk there though, as well as the wolf i saw last year. Cant help you though for opening weekend.

Uhh...general season tag + opening weekend + a chance to kill an elk = hunters everywhere...pretty much a standard formula across the West these days.

true, but pretty simple formula for solving it too...1 mile+ off the road eliminates 95% of the hunters...
