We had a great hunt in Montana this year. We took these five bucks in 2 days of hunting.

This first photo is of Jordan, 13 years old, with his first buck.

This is his dad, Allen, with another buck, huge body, 26" neck on this cape.

This is Tom with his buck, 3rd. 4 point in three trips.

This is my cousin, James, with a great buck, his best to date.

This is me, Eric, with my buck.

Here is a group photo just before the long trip home.

Mine and James' buck in my truck.

Thanks for looking and I just hope we can draw tags again this year.

Eric,

Great pictures of your party and thanks for posting them here. Where or which part of MT were you hunting, looks like in the East??

Brian

Yes, we were in eastern MT. Both Tom and James purchased antlerless whitetail 'B' tags. They filled these tags while we were cutting, hauling, and splitting firewood for the ranchers we stay with.

Nice bucks and good pictures. I gotta quit heading to the Hills, looks like the best bucks are hanging out in stubble and winter wheat fields. ;-) haha... Good luck in next year's draw.

Pics work for me! Great job!

Michael~All Gods creatures welcome... right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.

Great job and thanks for putting those bucks where we can all see them going down the road.. I love it when hunters show off their bucks.

Thanks for the compliments. The return trip was a lot of fun. Hundreds of people rubber-necking on the highway trying to get a look and every time we stopped for gas we would get surrounded by curious sportsmen asking questions and congratulating us. We would get to talking and get back on the highway another 1/2 hour behind schedual. We didn't really mind though, it was all part of the experience.

Thanks, Eric

Congrats to all of you!
Looks like a great time and an obvious successful hunt!

berto, I hear you, the ranchers were disappointed when they heard that we only had 2 antlerless tags among the five of us. I thought about buying one but I wanted to spend as much time as I could video taping the hunt. I was easy pickings if I had wanted to fill a tag, like I said before, the whitetails were harvested while we we cutting and hailing wood, literally. We would spot the whitetail down in the pasture below the ranch house while working and the hunt was on.
