I have a Savage M16 and the plastic on those things looks like a toy. I'm thinking about buying a bell and carlson replacement with the rubberized coating. I was told that the stock "flexes" up front on the fore end area and makes contact with the barell if pressed on. Is this true? Or are they solid all the way? Any experiences you have had? How do you like em?

LAST EDITED ON Jan-31-06 AT 08:33PM (MST)[p]I had the medallist stock, by B&C it had the aluminum skeleton inbedded, was an awesom stock, but I still had to do some sanding on the barrel chanel, no flex though...as good as a HS, which is on my custom 700 it needed sanding also to free float the barrel...
