My friend Art Taylor had a November bull tag in the Ely, Nevada area and chased around a lot of bulls for 9 days. He missed a bigun and turned down several nice bulls and ended up taking a meat bull and helped out the gene pool by taking this goofball. Congrats Art on a nice bull, tell us the story. fatrooster.

A true 6x1 bull. My wife named him Jason after the murdering character in the "Friday the 13th" movie. fatrooster.

Where else to take pictures but the Watering Hole...good one Banty..LOL He is a goof ball for sure, use it as a club.

Here is another picture. This was a very cool bull with very interesting features. This was a very fun hunt with good friends and family. It might not be the biggest bull, but it will make for some good conversation when hanging on the wall at the house. Hopefully he will tell some of the story!

That bull is sweet--anyone can kill a nice 6X6 (except me) but a 6X1--that takes skill. That is a really cool bull!

That what hunting is about finding the one that trips your trigger, sometime it a ugly elk and other time it's a pretty girl LOL.
Me I like this Bull.

This was my first bull tag and the hunt was a great time and alot of fun. I had family and friends there for the first five days to enjoy the experience with. We saw alot of bulls with a couple of them them being big ones. I missed a nice one opening day. Then I tried for a 370 class bull for a couple of days but he gave us the slip. By the fifth day everyone had left so I hunted solo which was alot of fun. That is until the eigth day when I saw this bull leaving water and heading to his bedding area. I watched him bed down and decided to put a stalk on him. When I got to the other side of the canyon he had moved !!! I looked around and finally located him again. The problem was he had his head and front shoulder up under a tree. So I sat there and waited for about two hours until he decided to stand up and turn around. When he bedded back down I was able to get the crosshairs on him and put a shot in his heart at 325 yards (which is good for me). When I got to him is when I relized the fun was over and I was wishing everyone was still there to help !!!! It took me five hours to get him whacked up and hung in a tree.
I would like to thank everyone who was there at the beginning of the hunt and the one's that came down to help get him off of the hill. I could not have done it without your help. WE WILL HAVE A B.B.Q. !!!!
He's not the biggest but I really like his charactor !!!!
