Awesome bull.....looks like it was a fun pack out. What cal. Gun? how many yards away/ how many shots? I love details. Of course I would never stoop as low as to inquire what unit you were in. Something just need to be kept secret. Way to go!

Well here the down and dirty of are great oregon elk hunt being from washington state it takes about 6 point or more to draw the tag. We set camp about 4 day prior to the start of season and found a large herd right above camp with a half dozen bulls in it.Starting on friday the day before the opener all the lazy people with money started to flying the unit I was amased there were no mid air collisions.We had three guy that I know to had of flown the unit earlier show in camp and charge the hill and camp right where the herd had been guess what no elk opening day (thanks guys). After hitting a couple hidden honey hole I found a small group with this bull and a small rag in it. I'm shooting a 7mm mag with 168 berger bullet one at shot 410 yards bull crumpled never took a step then the work began 2 days of back packing (Thanks Don and Jadon).Other than that the worst day hunting is better then best day working

VERY nice bull! You gotta love those guys that "fly" the area they are hunting. Don't they know within minutes the elk can be miles away?!

If it wasn't raining they were flying every day it was ridiculus two or three planes a day

Great bull for an area that only takes a NR 6points to draw! I'm sorry there are those out there that try to skew the odds in their favor with any means necessary. Nice bull.
