My wife was lucky enough to draw a Utah Late Season Elk tag. We watched this bull with about 30 cows for 3 weeks. We put him to bed the night before the opener. The next morning, we stalked in to 116 yards, and she put him down with a single shot from the 300 WSM. This is her first bull elk (she has now bested me on elk, bull moose, and antelope). What a great hunt with family and our 12 year old boy able to be with us.
