Just thought I'd share my wife's first elk she's ever shot and she did it with a muzzleloader! This was a last day bull and she made an off hand shot at 100 yards at this running bull. Can't tell you how great it is to be married to a wife that enjoys hunting and being in the outdoors as much I do. Anymore, I get a bigger thrill when the wife or kids draw the tags than if I draw one myself. Rose felt bad she didn't connect on two larger bulls, one was 230 yard shot and the other was a 260 yard shot which she came very close to hitting. (Damn guide/video guy couldn't get her a closer shot). Like I told my wife, not many women can say they've shot a bull with a muzzleloader no matter what the size. You can never judge the success of your hunt by the size of your trophy. This was a great hunt shared with family and friends and I couldn't of been more proud of my wife.

Rose,
Awesome bull for an awesome Lady! You can be very proud of that bull and the fact that you worked hard and didn't quit! Despite being handicapped by your weapon and your guide/cameraman (jk muleman) you pulled it off at the last minute. Great trophy! You should be very proud!
By the way, Thanks for letting Scott share our hunt!

Thank you so much Rick, you are so great! I am proud of the Bull and my guide/cameraman. You know he is a great man. He had a great time on Spencer's Sheep Hunt as well! Thanks! Rosebud

Great Bull for Rosebud. It was a great hunt from what I heard, lots of fun, family and friends. Doesn't get any better then that.. wait, yes it does had I been there! Proud of you Rosebud... And the muleman makes a great cameraman/guide!

That muzzle loader hunt can be tough, those bulls just like to hang out there out of range. As far as 5 x 5 goes that is one good looking.....bull ! Oh ya got it that time.

Nice bull

Did she practice shooting at 230 and 260 yards before the hunt with a muzzleloader ???
How high do you hold at 260?
Bullet energy???
Speed?
Wind drift.

Don't tell people that you take shots with a muzzleloader that far.
Not a good idea!!!

Nice bull !!!

Mulemanrack, Big Congrats to you and the wife!!

I'd say a lot more concerning the wife but fear it would be in bad taste. I will say those pic's came out really, really good IMO, lol
