Came accross these pics in an old family album. The first one shows my Dad, furthest to the left, and his brothers with four bucks. The photo is dated October 1969. My Dad accutally shot all four of these bucks on opening morning. (Back when party hunting was legal) Nothing too huge, but still fun to see. I don't really want to hear any negitive comments on the party hunting thing.. Is was a long time ago and it gets really old. I have enjoyed the good old days pics posted by others, so I thought I'd share some as well.

Later,
Elk

aw heck elkster, huntin' is always a party. the honda trail 90 and the red shirts really date that photo. no blaze orange or realtree hardwood ghostshadow predator scentlock camo on nobody. good photo.

Awesome pics elk! I gotta agree with RLH, the Honda 90 and all the red definitely does date the picture. But other than different faces in the pic, it reminds me to a T of my own family's hunting trips over the years. They had the Trail 90s (you could take'em over the nastiest of trails), and they always had plenty of red or faded orange on. Hell, if the green on the tent were only brown, I'd think it was our old Deer Camp. Brings back a lot of memories.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Whereabouts may I ask was this taken?

LAST EDITED ON Feb-10-06 AT 03:40PM (MST)[p]Reminds me of hunting with my dad in the late 60's I still have an old red shirt.

Nice pictures. Takes me back some.... I spent some cold deer hunts in a tent just like the one pictured. Ours was yellow and white. You know the 70's yellow that was so popular, for the life of my I can't understand why?

Awesome pics, man!! Wish I could shoot 4 bucks a day and not go to jail. You wont get any party hunting crap from me, Ive got a great uncle that killed a then state record ELk on another guys tag.

Really nice pictures. Very much appriciated. I killed my first buck in 1964 at the age of 16 so I can really relate!

I like seeing those old pics as much as everyone else, but nobody has mentioned the classic cars and trucks that share a lot of old photos. I love that Willy's wagon.

Thanks for the replies guys! It's always fun to look back at days gone by. I enjoy reading others' strories that they have posted from back then. It always seems to ruin things when someone comes in with the "Greater Than Thou" song and dance. Thanks again for the comments!

I grew up camping in a tent just like the green and yellow one, brought back many a fond memory. Thanks for sharing.

Saw this at work late Friday but had an Bhole come in. The old motorcycle was great and brought back some great memories. Also the old Willys truck and the old Chevrolet truck. Thanks for the pics.

Yep those remind me of hunts when i was a kid with my pop. Awesome to see pics like that. I'm gonna go look at the old albums now.
