Bachelor groups

When doe Coues break up from the bachelor group of bucks? I have been seeing groups of bucks, and just assumed that they must stay in bachelor groups longer than muley's. Thanks for the info...Allen......

Allen from my experience they run together through most of October. Though, later in the month the groups tend to be somewhat "loose" in that they stay in the general area together but start to split off by bedding in different areas or feeding seperately. It seems that after they shed their velvet you start to see them gradually change into the looser grouping. I've seen some of the bucks that must be really good buddies stay together until the rut. Just my experience and that's not saying much.

Thinking back on my November hunts, the bucks I have seen have been equally split between being singles or in small groups of 3-4. I do not recall any that have been with does in Nov.

Thanks you guys, I was just curious because of the groups I am seeing now this late in Oct. I hope they stay bunched up like this during the Nov. hunt.... Thanks, Allen......
