Absolutely no way that is pure blacktail. My guess, taken from Central CA, where much crossover occurs and it was labeled a "blacktail". Northern CA. coast to central would be pure blacktail, though I've not seen one that big...

Maybe east of I 5, but I have seen some WIDE blackies, that cape and the ears are definite blackie traits.

This has actually allready been posted on here and had a very long thread about it.
They said then that it measured 29 7/8" wide and scored 172 3/8"
It also listed that it was taken in northern California on public land with a 300 Jarrett rifle.
