my daughter shot her first elk this morning with her 243.. had her brother and cousin with her.Her dad has some wonderful pictures to share but cant get them to load ...Can i email them to someone to load them for me??thanks

Hi everyone- I shot this elk... my name is Makenna. It was so fun to go hunting with my Dad, brother and cousin. Most girls don't like hunting, but for me, that's the exact opposite. I have been going hunting with my Dad since I was three. The first hunt I went on was with my Dad when he shot a cow elk. It was getting dark when we were gutting it and I was so afraid that the coyotes were going to come get us. I have been hunting with my Dad ever since. I also love writing about our hunts. This year was really special. I killed my first buck, which was posted on here earlier this year. I went on my first whitetail hunt in Oklahoma. I didn't get anything but my Dad did! And then, I shot my first elk. I can't wait until I get to hunt again next season. With my Dad hunting with me, I know that every hunt is going to be great.

That is every dad's dream too. Way to go dad. Mine is 10 and I'm really hoping she gets the bug like Makenna. What a great elk. Very impressive. Ya know there is a big market now for women outdoor writers and outdoors women in general... Way to go.

Like I always told others here who have argued with me it's not enough, just depends how good a shot you are. ;O)
