i have been looking at the deer videos on this websites store and have been interested in quite a few but i was just wondering what you guys who have seen them would suggest. i was especially looking at the lowland series but would like to hear what others have to say. thanks!

I haven't seen any of the lowland series. I recently picked up Mossback Mulies3. Very enjoyable as were the first two. Lots of big bucks. Doyle does a good job, in my opinion.

The Lowland series 1-4 are well done and good videos. I have all four and have enjoyed them all. The Mossback series is good as well.

i have seen mossback mulies 3 and did enjoy it but i really enjoy more live footage. the mossback i saw seemed to have a lot of kills but mainly on some medi-oker bucks. is the lowland series the same way?

Shedm-

Never Enough is worth every penny. The Kendalls are to be congratulated on their hard work. Lots of great country, good video shots, great animals (many on do-it-yourself hunts), etc...this one does all of us hunters a favor.

I'm kind of partial to the "Never Enough" DVD as well;)

Thanks for the kind words Doug, it's hearing stuff like that has kept me motivated enough to put a second one out.

Honestly there's not much money in it, but it's fun to do, and it means a lot to know there are guys out there that like the DVD for what it is.

That being said I think there are a lot of great muley DVDs out there. I don't think you can go wrong with Mossback or Muley Crazy, or the "Lowland" series. One of my favorites is the "Magnum Mulies" series as well. I've always liked all of the winter range footage that Brownlee had on his.

I guess there's things about each that I like and dislike, including my own.

I do think for the money that the "Never Enough" DVD offers you more than most. It's 2 hours with 20 hunts. The majority of it's my favorite, muleys, but there's some other fun stuff in there too.

Vol 2. is knocking at the door and will be much like Vol. 1 with the number of hunts and time. Like Vol. 1 it has a definite emphasis on muleys, I think it'll have around 12-15 mule deer hunts.

Anyway, my advice is to buy them all and decide for yourself which you like best!:)

Magnum muleys series is the best in my opinion. The never enough definately breaks the mold of traditional hunting videos, I like the Eastmans videos too, just have to tune the volume down when they start pitching the magazines.

Shedmania, all of the videos out there are good. I like the Lowland series quite a bit because it has a lot of Idaho footage. Many videos out there concentrate on Utah and Arizona which is great but its also nice to see a video that is made somewhere else. Mike Brownlee and David Long make some very nice videos also. I haven't seen the "Never Enough" videos yet but I'm an inch away from getting them. Especially since Prism frequents this site regularly. By the way Prism, congrats on that nice muley you got that featured in the Eastmans magazine.
Since I just brought up Eastmans let me say that I really like everything they do including thier videos and the reason is because they always are throwing in helpful "how to" hunts and telling you thier owne hunting tactics. They don't always have giant bucks but thats what real hunting is all about. I wish they would find some new music though, lol. Shed, you mentioned that you saw "Mossback Mulies 3." Well in my opinion this is a good video but "Mossback Mulies #1 and #2" are much much better than #3. There are plenty of giant bucks on #1 ans #2. So far I haven't seen a video that I don't like yet. I suggest getting videos that concentrate on the state that you like to hunt that way you will pick up a few hints about the area. Some videos will have multiple hunts in several states which is also good.
Well goodluck and good viewing. fatrooster.

There is a brand new video for sell here on MM titled "Horned Up". This is mostly winter range footage of great bucks with sheds included off of several from the 04/05 season. We had 3 bucks grossing over 200" that we recovered the sheds from. For one of those bucks it was the 4th year in a row. He came back this year and we just picked his set up again, though regressed to mid 190s, he is still a dandy.
We think there is some unique big muley footage on this tape and look forward to hearing what you guys think.

mtn buck,
is your video similar to the Mesa Mulies video? i really enjoyed that one, nice to see something different.

Shed, Mesa Mulies is one of the few mule deer videos that I don't own, yet. No hunting on ours, but we do show sheds off a buck that when taken the next year grossed 216" typical. It is cool to see how the buck grew over the 2 years we filmed him and finally to see him mounted on the wall.

High Country Hunters did a great job with the "Horned Up" video. I have watched quite a few videos and this one is my personal favorite. I guess it might have something to do with the fact that it shows lots of HUGE sheds? :) Seriously though, the footage is awesome, the quality is great and it's just well put together. There is one portion where the footage is a little grainy but I'm sure glad they didn't leave it out. The footage is of a couple bucks fighting and they go at it HARD for a LONG time. I've never seen or heard of 2 bucks fighting that loooong. The video is worth every cent.
