It started one afternoon when i got a call from the wife saying i got drawn for the super hunt tag this year for elk. so then the research started and scouting trips started happing every chance i got, driving 16 to 20 hrs a week end. well the time has came and went down to unit 40 and seen some good bulls and some great bulls and the biggest bull went about 340 i had my mind set on a 350 or bigger, well i hunted there for 7 days and got nothing passed up probally 25 bulls and then headed back north and hunted up here tell the season was almost over and seen tons of elk 200 to 300 elk a day and 25-50 bulls a day and i couldn't find a big bull to save my a$$ so on the seconed to last day i told myself that now i got to put meat in the frezzer and i was going to shot the first 6 point i see and saw him at 462 yards dialed up and shot and the tc connected and it was all over with so we had to pack out 7 miles that afternoon and packs loaded at 3:30 and got back to the truck 8:30 on the first trip and headed back the next day for the rest of the meat.
