Wondering how many guys are trying the new region.
This was part of region D previously.
I like climbing the hills up in the mnts., so I'am sticking with D. Good luck >>> Foxbow.

It is Region W now. I like it and I have already applied for it and antelope unit that is with it.

It will be interesting to see how this works out. I feel like W will be a tough draw, and it might make D easier to draw. W has the potential to be a top quality region if it is well managed. It's been pounded for years, so it will take time to heal. And if it gets real good, all of us residents will go there and hammer it. Too bad Wyoming does not go to limited quota for both residents and nonresidents in some of those quality areas.

I've been wondering what to do also, do I put in for hunt with 3 percent odds or go with g or h with 30 percent odds??

With G&F removing 82 from D, the odds will for sure go up for a D tag.
I agree, this new region has great potential for Big Muleys with some consistent rainfall and limited tags but as was mentioned, many residents will hunt this area if it starts producing Big Bucks. IMO, Wyoming will have to limit the number of tags, for this area to reach its full potential.

I'm applying for W if I draw the elk tag again. Tomorrow will be the moment of truth.

As I've hunted there for a couple of years now I'm starting to learn the area and feel comfortable there. Moreover, my wife and my pink jeep love that country. Haven't seen any big ones yet, so maybe I'm due.

Mammas Boy, Where do you stay when you hunt there?

Also, what do you guys figure the odds might be for W? I'm not sure if Deerlove is referring to W when he mentions 3% odds.
