have 12 points for elk,is fillmore oak creek a good area to put in for and can i draw this area for early rifle season

with 12 pts. dont even think of using your points on oak creek. u have enough points to draw a much better tag. there are units u can draw with 12 points that would be a much funner hunting experience and that hold alot more elk.

oak creek is a very tough hunt but good bulls are harvested, a neighbor took a 383 bull on that unit a few years back...

It has some private land where the bulls hang out and they tend to be down on the Sevier river bottom in the willows along the railroad right of way. You can see the semi's going by on I15 a ways off from where you might hunt them.
Definitely not a place to spend virtually any points unless you have inside info and only care about horn size. It's not an asthetic place to hunt by any means
