Guide/Outfitter Recommendations

Would welcome PMs from others who have recommendations for guides/outfitters for a 2012, perhaps 2013 hunt. The hunt would be for my wife and I, and I want it secured this year before she changes her mind.

She would be happy with a 270 bull. I am looking for something north of 320, but would be happy with a 300. Neither of us have been on a guided hunt before, and she has never shot a bull before. Both in our early 30s. Looking for a 7 day-ish hunt, great scenery, with horses, with a total price tag at 10K for the two of us.

Thanks in advance.

Trophy Mountain Outfitters in Western Wyoming. Beautiful country, great outfitter and guides, high country hunt with great success on the type of bulls you are after. Also it is an easy draw especially if you buy a point or two for your future hunt. Check out their website. The animals speak for themselves. I hunted with them for Mule Deer a couple years ago. I researched every outfitter I could find with this type of hunt and I narrowed it down to them. My brother and I both shot great deer and the outfit was first class. We saw many elk all the way up to 330-340. Lots of elk and lots of bulls. Food was great, horses were great, the guides all gave 100%, and the camp was set up as promised and than some. Would definately go back when I have the funds! trophymountainoutfitters.com

Elk Creek Outfitters in Idaho, still gettin quite a few nice bulls and nice bucks. They hunt out of the Frank Church Wilderness lots of awsome scenery. Be in good shape and practice shooting 300yrds if you chose them i think you will be happy can get you contact info if you want.

Trophy Mountain Outfitters just bought out Horse Creek Outfitters and are merging together into one owner and that is Dustin Child. I just talked with the previous owner of Horse Creek at the Sacramento Show and he was in the same booth with with TMO.
The original owner of Horse Creek Outfitters was a Ray Billings who sold out and retired about 6 years ago I think now. Ray and I went to school together back in the mid 50's.

RE: Guide/Outfitter Recommendation

Jed and Jenni Wayment based out of Henefer Utah, run a first class operation. They dont do the horse thing but, nonetheless kill some nice stuff, check out their website, www.jandjoutfitters.com/

I would highly recommend Table Mountain Outfitters out of Wyoming. The elk hunt they have can be drawn with one or two points. Great country tons of game and great people. They do not use horses because they are not needed in their country. It would be a hunt you and your wife would love. Good luck.
