The bottom one was found in Idaho nearly ten years ago. This is a replica of the sheds. The buyer had a it made for the seller . It was part of the sales agreement. I took the photos.

I really like the idea of people putting matched sets on a cape. I have seen some great mounts made from sheds, and this one is no exeption, it's a great deer!.

Mounting matched sets, is a great way do dispplay the antlers. And the deere still may be able to drop another set. Dont get me wrong, I am a mule deer hunter, but I think a nice set of sheds looks a lot better on a mount than they do in a pile on the floor, or sitting on your bookshelf.

"Roadless areas, in general, represent some of the best fish and wildlife habitat on public lands. The bad news is that there is nothing positive about a road where fish and wildlife habitat are concerned -- absolutely nothing." (B&C Professor, Jack Ward Thomas, Fair Chase, Fall 2005, p.10).

Very nice. Even to have a replica with a story connected to you would be cool. Of course, if it was HUGE like that one!

I am pretty sure that is not a set of sheds, but a replica of the actual deer. It was taken by Ron Woodall in Cassia County, Idaho in 1984. Score is 262-3/8. Definitely one of the most impressive bucks ever taken in Idaho.

Thanks for bringing that up. I had no idea and was going off of what my acquaintence told me. Looks like he and I are going to have a little talk. I checked my copy of "Idaho's Greatest Mule Deer" right after reading your post, and much to my surprise after comparing the photos, I see that you are absolutely correct. Looks like I just bought the Brooklyn Bridge. I am including the photo I scanned of the buck in the book.
