Gunnison Basin Winter?

Anyone have a feel for how the deer are going to come through the winter in the Gunnison Basin? I know it's still early but how has it been there?

I'd say we had an average winter. Fair amount of snow and pretty cold temps (colder than the past few winters) Spring arrived this week and the snow is melting fast. I would say the herds faired well, although many are getting killed on the highway.

That's good, you've got such a good thing going there I was hopeing for the best.

Drove to Gunnison and back today from Grand Junction. Saw lots of critters and they looked pretty good, not nearly as boney as some years. South slopes are clear of snow around Blue Mesa so barring a super bad next month they should be in good shape.
