Here's an update I found on the F&G website. It doesn't include any details but is better than nothing.

Hunting Rules Changed Little

Big game hunters who liked last fall's seasons will find 2006 hunting seasons and rules much the same.

Meeting in Boise March 1-3, the Idaho Fish and Game Commission approved the department's proposals for seasons this fall with only minor modifications in a couple of regions.

Finalized seasons will now go into the process for printing big game hunting brochures which should be available at vendors and Fish and Game offices by the end of March. When the brochure is edited and approved, it will be posted on the department web site at http://fishandgame.idaho.gov.

Fish and Game surveys show elk populations stable or increasing across the state and mule deer numbers increasing in most areas. The harvest figures below also show increases in the last two years.

________ 2003____2004___ 2005
Deer___ 44,900_ 47,270_ 54,080
Elk_____ 18,900_ 20,925_ 21,520
Antelope 1,300__ 1,341__ 1,410
