That's an awfully big buck. The guy probably used an illegal spear or poached it off the neighboring tribes land! LOL!

Longun,
Definately puts things into perspective when it comes to all the 'hero' worship of our modern era don't it?

Manny,
You still around here? It's been so long since you gave the ol' farwell speech too, what, maybe a week and a half ago? :)

If you look closely you can see a signature at the back feet of the elk/deer. It looks like "Fred Flintstone." Of course its spelt in cave man language. fatrooster.

For the record my great great great great greater grandfather killed that elk. I believe he went around 424 7/8.

As I can tell from the remarks some of you have never seen a Big Buck. Here is the Elk Petroglyph. And a helluva hunting story to go with it.

Hawk33- since 9,000 yr old Kennewick Man has been proven to be Causasiod I think it was my Great, Great Ancestors that killed that Buck. Yours probably killed this Elk since they were a Horseback and had the Whitemans guns.

proven my left nut. It was never tested was it? (Kennewick man) nice try though. Lewis and Clark didnt pass through the NW until the late 1800's.

Never have heard of anyone hunting elk from horseback, I might have to give it a try.

Hawk,
Go to the website www.kennewickman.com and read all about it. As for a more recent aspect did you ever hear of Hernando Cortez or Francisco Coranodo? Cortez conquered Mexico in 1519 and later explored California in the early 1530's Coranodo made it all the way to Kansas on his ethnic cleansing expedition for the Queen of Spain in 1541.

Man, I could have been an artist in those days!!!! Funny how that is considered art!! When I did that in the third grade I got an "F" LOL!

Rockshop, LOL

No wonder we don't have any big bucks, since they've been killing those little dinks since the late-Mesozoic period.

Manny, nice to see that my work with you was successful,
Good to see you back !
