Pahvant Access??

I heard the other night from someone that the Pahvant has alot of private property / access roads on it and that if a person was to draw that unit, they would need to get permission from quite a few people?? True?? How much (percentage wise) is private and how much is public?
I have not been down there......and have a hard time believing this if everyone wants that tag.

There are plenty of public roads and tons of public access on the pahvant.

I beleive the Northern part is almost all public National Forest and there is very little private land. The Southern end has a few CWMUs and other private stuff, but I think they are marked pretty well.
I don't think you would have any problems with Private property down there as long as you glance at some maps before hand.
Diamond Mountain would be a different story.

I hunt down there on the muzzleloader for deer and i see a lot of nice elk too, there is a lot of places you can go that is public if you get a tag let me know i can send you in the right direction.

tons of access from the north end and the south end if you need help send me a pm i will help ya and most of the elk i have seen are on public ground anyway

I live next to the unit and am up there quite a bit and yeah there is private property but its nothing you cant hunt around there are plenty of areas to hunt that are public. There are a lot of bulls to that kinda tend to cross between the private and public.This bull is on publicc land this is a couple years ago 08.
