I was just looking at the 2005 Buck and Bull photo contest pages and saw a typical muley in there from washington claiming that it is the new state record with a score of 203. i am not doubting it at all, it is a truley massive deer, i just find it strange that nothing has been really going on around here about it. who knows, maybe i am in the dark. Has anyone else heard about it besides in the photo pages?

Ya it came up earlier but there have been some monster WA bucks that just seem to show up on the photo page. Makes a guy wonder why the guys don't post them on the forum pages first.

David Hollingsworth's P&Y non-typical scored 203 3/8 and was at the Sportsmen's Show in Puyallup this January. He is from the Westport area and is probably willing to talk about it. Have not seen or heard of a typical scoring that high. Some people would rather keep their hunting success quiet.

That is an awesome buck! I've never seen anything like that in Washington state! Anyone know what part of the state it came from? It looks like the Desert unit.

The smokepole buck is a different buck than the archery one. They are both over 203 but one is typical and the archery one is NT. There was also a 210 rifle buck taken this year.
