If you were drawn for a controlled hunt last year can you reapply this year? I have heard multiple comments about this topic and since the new regs are still unavailable I was curious if anyone had any comments. Thanks.

ON antelope, antlerless deer and elk, and bear, etc. you can reapply every year regardless of whether you drew or not.

On antlered deer and elk, if you drew, you have to sit out one year before reapplying for that species.

Thanks for the reply. That is not what I wanted to hear, but is good for all others who were not as lucky as we were. Thanks.

WACATHUNTER,

I have heard that the rule about waiting may change this year. I doubt it will change but once the regs are out you should have an answer.

wacathunter,
One of the updates that I get from the IDFG said that the commissioners approved a change to the rules that would allow you to draw in succesive years as a part of their plan to institute a point system. I believe it is a done deal but because it involves a fee increase it must be approved by the legislature. I drew last year so I hope it goes through.

Big Buck I drew last year as well and hope it changes. If it doesn't I'll wait and start accruing points next year. I'll keep my eyes open and keep us all informed if you here anything.
