Utah Youth Bull Elk

I put in for the youth bull tag for three year including this year and if I draw it I can hunt any open bull unit in the state during the peak of the rut. If I draw this tag what are some of the units you guys would reccomend.

Theres really not Units just areas. Monte, North Slope etc

I had the tag the second year after they started the program. I saw 5-6 bulls and one was a dandy. I thought I connected one evening with the bigger one but apparently I just scared him out of the country because a friend got him a few weeks later with a rifle during the general hunt. It was lots of fun, and there are good bulls and no competition. I could have wiped out a herd of spikes on the Zion unit right off the highway. But I held out because I wanted something better and ate tag soup...but it was awesome fun!

My son was drawn in 07 and we hunted southslope area by vernal. He took a 6x7 332 bull.

My son drew this tag in 2005 or 2006 and we had a real nice hunt. He didn't kill a bull but he did pass up several shot opportunities at a bull that'd have gone around 310 or so. The bull simply had too many cows around him, and a few other issues. I wish he could do that hunt over, you can kill a nice bull on that tag with some hard work.
