Has anyone hunted or know of anyone who has hunted Unit 22 for elk in Wyoming? Its the Ferris Mountain Range located just north of Rawlings east of Green Mountain.

I hunted it some years ago, and I would suggest calling the WGF biologist and getting some phone numbers as some of the ranches control the access, we had better luck on the south slope of the range.

I drew the tag this year and know the unit fairly well. I have also been in touch with the game wardens. Im just curious as to how much pressure is there from the deer hunters which has started in the past around the 15th of the month. I have seen some good bulls on the range but am curious as to how other hunters have done up there to help me set some standards.

Let me tell you of the BIG JU-AN I seen up there at 13,567 ft in elevation. It was in terrible winds and at least 3 feet of snow. If you giv her the old college try the BIG JU-AN will be on the wall in the fall. I know, I should be up there with you. BIG JU-AN, that will kill me for a long time.

Yes, access is available on the South side......trying to remember the rancher's name. I just spoke with his son last year and they are still letting people in. Do a little homework and you'll find it.
