Is a Hornaday interbond bullet in a .338 225gr bullet good enough to hunt.

Thanks

Yes, all the way. I have killed several elk with the .338 Win 225 grain Hornady bullets. Even recovered one, it performed flawlessly. It was a quartering shot, hit him at the right spot in the rib cage, travelled all the way to the base of the jaw bone before stopping.

For a less expensive bullet, I highly recommend them.

those are excellent bullets for sub 600 yard shots. past that they dont have the accuracy to be on target. ive loaded them for the 338-378 and worked up over 100 separate groups and never achieved anything under 1.25 moa. ballistic tips, scenars, matchking 250's, mrx and ttsx bullets are all better performing bullets from what ive experienced. the best bullets for a 338 are pure hollow points like the scenar and matchkings. a 338 is a beast of a caliber and over penetration is a problem on lighter game like desert muleys and such. however ive discovered that the base on the hollow point is so stout that it will drive through both front shoulders on the largest of elk and leave the hollow point behind in the hollow cavity to explode like a grenade. i know everyone says matchkings are just paper punchers and i would agree with .30 cal and lighter bullets and would strongly disagree with the 338 cal bullets. just my two

ego participate in Monasteriense muleys proinde ego sum bardus (I participate on monstermuleys therefore I am stupid)
