Nebo Muzzy Elk

So I lucked out this year and drew a muzzy Nebo elk tag! Its no longer a "pending" charge, but a posted reality on my CC statement! I'm so excited and looking forward to an excellent hunt! If anyone out there has any hints, tips and just plain great stories from having hunted the unit before, please PM me, or share them here.....I'm on cloud nine and would love to hear about what anyone else has experienced on Nebo.

Try not to be too picky on this unit. A few 350 bulls but you'll do good to get a 320 bull. Just have fun. The unit will be getting better over the next few years with the increase in the average age objective and the decrease in antlerless tags. Do alot of scouting. The muzzle hunt on this unit is pretty tough and by no means a sure thing. Enjoy your hunt.

congrats on getting the tag,i drew last year and on the muzzle hunt the elk were hard to locate,bugling was at a minimum.i seen few bulls and didnt harvest one.the muzzleloader is tough being the last hunt after all the archery and rifle hunters have hunted ,the elk are spooked and were not making any noise.but there are some good bulls to get if you can find one,good luck,scout hard and hunt even harder.

Congrats, it is always great to have an elk tag. That being said, be prepared for a tough hunt. I have only hunted deer on Nebo and have never seen a lot of elk. But, they are there and I have seen some 320 class bulls on the unit.

My dad had the Pahvant muzzy tag last year, it ended up being a lot harder than we ever imagined for such a good unit... I imagine Nebo is even tougher along with the hunt being even further out of the peak of the rut. Best of luck, scout during the LE rifle hunt and hunt hard, all day every day of the hunt.

I drew a rifle tag for this year, so after I get mine, ill let you know how it was. There are a few bigger bulls on the unit, you just have to know where and hike alot. We packed out 4 last year and they ranged from 310-355

If you see a bull 320+ you better take it. There are still a good number of bulls on the the unit but the quality is way down from what is used to be.
