So I'm one of the many on the forum that had a recent cc hit. Now the question is: did I draw on my first choice or second choice? First choice was early rifle hunt for Fishlake and second choice was archery hunt for Fishlake. I only have 6 points which makes me think that it has to be the archery tag; however, I've talked to a few people lately that think it could be the rifle hunt. Based on the stats, that seems almost like an impossible draw to me. What do you think? Either way I'm super excited for the hunt.

So I guess I was way off...my first choice was the archery tag. I would have bet my life that I put my first choice as the rifle tag (even though I never thought I would draw with only 6 points). After reading that I most likely drew my first choice I had to get online and verify my application. Looks like I'm archery hunting this fall.

Nobody every draws a second choice limited entry elk tag in Utah. You got your first choice. The second choice is a joke. They used to have five choices, but that was even more of a joke. Stats always have estimates, and they are not 100%, they are generally closer to 98% correct.

My best friend's dad drew a SW Desert muzz tag as his second choice in 2006. He had 7 or 8 points. There is now way there were any tags left over from the 1st choice guys. I don't know how the heck it works...
