drew boulder archery with 1 point i really wasnt expecting to draw this year so im kind of caught off gaurd and dont know if i will be able do do as much scouting as i would like any advice would be appreciated

If you weren't hoping to draw a tag why did you put in instead of a point. J/k That's a great tag, my cousin drew that tag he had some where around 12 points. It should be a good year up there. good luck to ya and make sure you post up some pics.

i never said i wasnt hoping to draw im always hoping. But with only one point i wasnt expecting to draw and sorry i lied i just got on the division of wild life website and my tag is actually for dutton archery. i knew it was one or the other i assumed it was boulder because the chances of drawing seemed easier there either way i am stoked and cant wait.

The boulder is thick for the most part and there is water everywhere. I would suggest the area over toward Posey Lake up toward Roundy Reservior. Also there is the Steed property on the far west side of the unit and you can get in behind their hay fields and there is one pond, the elk don't have much water on that side and they do go into there regularly to water. I would recommend trail cameras, they can save you a lot of time.

Have fun,

Dillon

If you drew the Dutton Tag I would start in one of two places. First I would hit Deer Creek. Then I would try around Jones Corral. The head of Pole Canyon would be a good choice also.
